As is standard in the market, we must also adjust your monthly contribution over time to new circumstances. Basically, however: we only adjust our prices when it is truly necessary. Decisive factors for price adjustments are, for example, general inflation (inflation, veterinary costs, etc.) or because your pet is getting older.
The price adjustment does not occur before the end of the first 12 months of your contract, during which you are bound to Dalma. With the contract renewal in the 13th month, prices may change for the first time.
You then have the option to cancel your insurance with Dalma if you do not agree with the new price.
Your contract has a minimum term of one year and ends after the 13th month. In the event of a cancellation from the 13th month onwards, this will take effect in the month following your application. You can cancel your contract before the end of the one-year period, e.g., in the event of a move or the death of your pet.
If you wish to cancel your contract, you can do so within 14 days. Simply send an email to kontakt@dalma.co.
Our waiting periods are 2 days for accidents, 14 days for surgical interventions, 30 days for medical treatments, 12 months for HD/ED and certain dental treatment costs (FORL, gingivitis, periodontitis), and 18 months for patellar luxation.
As is standard in the market, we also do not reimburse certain costs.

Illnesses or complaints that existed at the start of insurance coverage
Routine, preventive, or voluntary examinations not directly related to an illness or accident
Illnesses resulting from a lack of vaccination

The Surgery-Only plan covers all costs resulting from illness or accidents that lead to a surgical procedure. Our Full Health Insurance plan goes further, covering additional costs for medical treatments and general illness.
Please note: All benefits included in the Surgery-Only plan are automatically included in the Full Health Insurance plan. The Wellness Budget is exclusively available with the Full Health Insurance plan and requires an annual limit of at least €1,000.
Yes! Through our Wellness Budget, we reimburse specific costs related to your pet's routine healthcare. This budget is available with our Full Health Insurance plan for policies with an annual limit of €1,500 or higher. You can choose an annual Wellness Budget of either €70 or €100. Best of all? There is no waiting period.

Yes! You have total freedom of choice. You can have your pet treated at any veterinarian or animal clinic you prefer.
Note: If you visit a non-veterinary practitioner (such as a pet physiotherapist), you will need a referral from a licensed veterinarian to be eligible for reimbursement.
The amount Dalma reimburses depends on your personalized plan. Only with Dalma can you enjoy total flexibility in choosing your Annual Limit and your Reimbursement Rate.
What is the Annual Limit?
This is the maximum amount we will pay for surgeries or medical treatments per policy year. You can choose a limit of €1,000, €1,500, €2,000, €3,000, €4,000, €6,000, or Unlimited.
What is the Reimbursement Rate?
This is the percentage of your vet bills that Dalma covers. You can choose a rate of 80%, 90%, or 100%.
